Overview

Global Admin Name|Dataset is a standardized global administrative division name dataset that covers multiple countries and levels (ADM1 – province/state, ADM2 – city/county, etc.).

It is designed to work seamlessly with MapOn.ai, helping improve the matching accuracy of region layers when visualizing or analyzing administrative boundaries.

How to Use

You can use this dataset in two ways within MapOn.ai:

  1. As a ready-to-use Notion database — simply duplicate the dataset into your workspace to reference standardized administrative names directly when building region layers.
  2. As a reference for data validation — compare your own regional data against these standardized names (name_en, iso_code, admin_level) to improve automatic matching accuracy and ensure consistent results across countries and administrative levels.

By aligning your data with these naming conventions, MapOn.ai can more reliably recognize and render the correct regions on the map.
